And at this point you can’t save me From what I have, from who I have become Demoralize, cannibalize the sun We reject life Selfishly come undone The things that we lost Are nothing to the things that we’ve all grown to love And when I fall I know it won’t take long Until they’re moving on I knew it all along Although they’ve tried they can’t have me I will transcend But I am not the one My spirit flies Immortalized, I spiral towards the sun And when I die I know I’ll become one With the things that we lost Become nothing at all It’s the one thing I love And when you fall I won’t be there all all I won’t be proven wrong I knew it all along

Repetition 04:10
Repetition repetition Is fucking killing me I feel like I can’t breath I’m pacing around this room Trying to find meaning I know I’ll never see But when freedom amounts to this And I’m barred from taking initiative Do I even exist These dreams offer no relief From the backdrop Of these human beliefs You’ll notice when I disappear The house undeniably cold But I taught you never to fear Growing up is not growing old Strategically I interfere With what transpires up above No longer requiring air I’m forfeiting all of my love At first I did not want to care But now I cannot care enough Now I cannot care enough You think that you know what it’s like To have no one sit by your side But I challenge you to sit in a dark room Right in front of the mirror tonight And the things that you feel deep inside Are the things that I could never hide And I live with knowledge that I will be burned So that I won’t be buried alive My freedom amounts to this My lack of initiative I’m not convinced that I exist These dreams offer no escape The backdrop of these mistakes Are all left here in my wake I know you think I’m wrong I’m telling you I’m right But my lack of pride will restrict me And help keep me safe tonight And I’m sorry that I failed But my life became derailed
3.
Anthropocene 02:41
Welcome to the anthropocene Where children weep The whole world fucking screams As oceans rise And fill with the dead We can only hope This will all soon fucking end Yet we Laugh just to keep back the tears Cause we sit with the knowledge That we should be living in fear Take these bags Cover our eyes and mouths It makes it easier To shut the sadness out We don’t deserve this obliviousness And when were gone who will clean up this mess We don’t see blood on our hands Here in the promised land can’t see the irony This isn’t what we planned The forests die Lined up with the dead Through a wall of flames We can all see how this ends Building debt One must be repaid When the land is demolished Who’s left standing on the graves Take these bags Put them over our heads It might ease the pain If we are already dead We don’t deserve this obliviousness And when were gone who will clean up this mess
4.
Inevitable 02:20
The creation of jobs We distribute our wealth So we can go and fuck It up Again Redistribute our wealth To the hands of those who rule Then set up rules to Make sure this can’t happen again No I cannot pretend Corruption ever ends And words like Economy and currency Are make believe Just like the god who’s trust We mark On them These borders are pretend And I don’t believe it’s right These things can destroy lives The ones that were set up For the sole purpose of holding up our industry No I cannot believe If we locate the source We burn it down And finally voice The masses and We do not have To live like this anymore
5.
Humanity cannot survive without currency They coincide But when they combine It creates oppression of this whole world We won’t survive without harmony But that will never work Because all of us refuse to ever open up our minds I don’t know what Im supposed to do To change the way We operate And if we could Just learn from the past I’m sure we could come up with some way at last Society creates the rules that we have to live by But money shapes the way that we can live our lives But I refuse to accept thats the only way for this world to thrive
6.
The Cost 02:00
You think I give a shit About that which concerns The things you talk about Well they have little worth Don’t you know how much we’ve lost The dues we paid I’m reminded of the cost You think we give a shit That you have come this far We were all meant to sleep here underneath the stars You make me forget that we are all one You are the problem here, but I’ll never give up
7.
Conclusions 01:19
When the world has been rid of us all There will be peace When nature takes back what was sacred Man will be long forgotten And the scars will finally heal Things will be as they should And no devine intervention could will itself into existence To bring us back to the chaos that befalls us But when the world ends Thats when true life will begin There will be peace When this planet regains control Man will lose his role As the oppressor of this world This coup is inevitable We will be taken out and No amount pf prayer will bail us out We’re all so fucked We’re going down With rising seas we all will drown And the entire time the Universe will rejoice We’ll hear it’s voice The fleeting seconds before we die

I recorded this ep during the CoVid19 pandemic of 2020. Out of work, and not going anywhere for awhile, I decided to sit down and record a series of songs that felt very relevant for the times we are living in. Inevitable, Beating the System, and Conclusions were from the Cobra Brothers album "Aerophobic", which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary in May. Those songs were written around the time of the economic collapse of 2008. I feel as though there are a lot of parallels between then and now, and I've been sharing the same sentiment these days. Won't be Long, Repetition, and The Cost were written for my old band WAKE and were never recorded. Anthropocene is a new song that my buddy Aaron Hall wrote the intro riff to for our new currently unnamed band.

All of these songs fit a certain theme that focus on the frustration, anger, helplessness, depression, and disparity that surrounds our lives on a daily basis in the year 2020. Are things getting better as a society and as a species? I don’t know. These are just a few songs that might be good for social distancing to.

The ep is free. If you'd like to contribute something to help out someone who was economically displaced by this whole situation, it's not necessary, but greatly appreciated. That's not why I recorded these songs, but I'm grateful either way.

And please, feel free to share this ep with any of your punk rock loving friends.

If you're checking out these songs, it means more to me than you'll ever know.

Thanks,

Joe
